Combatants chuckle as they travel on the back of a transport truck, speeding by a line of several lifeless forms and moving facing the sinking Sudanese evening sky.

The men are celebrating a mass killing that aid workers fear killed in excess of thousands of civilians in the Sudan's urban center of al-Fashir during October.
