Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations across the region in response for a large-scale and ongoing assault against it by the US and Israel.

Missile Defenses Activated
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.
Wider Impacts
In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported wreckage landed in a populated district in the capital, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
