Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Power In Kyiv

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a distinct Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen rockets struck the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the city came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor was killed and three other people were hurt.

The assaults follow nights of air raids in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
