In a surprising partnership that defies usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an special katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update
